As many of you already know, J.K. Rowling's fantasy series is coming to a close with the premier of the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on June 15th, 2011.  For the past few years, Rowling has carefully observed the fans' reactions to Harry Potter's journey and she has taken note of the positive influence that her imagination has lent to children worldwide.  However, she knows better than to take all of the credit:

"I simply wrote the novels," said Rowling, "once I got the story out there, the amazing people at Warner Brothers, the entire staff and cast of each film, the numerous PR firms I met with, the creators of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the inventors and designers of the loads of Harry Potter merchandise, and obviously the advertising agencies that shove all of this in your face are the ones that made this possible."

Rowling goes on to say that she wants to continue to emphasize the importance of literature to children everywhere.  So, it is with much anticipation that we announce every advertising company's monetary dream, and in turn, every child's literary dream as well...

J.K. Rowling will release A Sequel to the Series: The Next Generation of Hogwarts, shortly after the date of the final film premier.  Details about the contents of the novel, the author's personal life, and the previous seven books are included in our press release packet on this site.  The exact release date of the new novel will be announced soon.
